BARBARELLA’S BANG BANG

Best known for their raucous live sets, the band fronted by the enigmatic Barbara Pugliese have become a staple of various festivals and club nights over the course of their career. With members originating from Italy, Latvia and London, it’s no surprise BARBARELLA’S BANG BANG have such a diverse and multicultural group of influences from South and East European Folk to classic punk rock.

Having played prestigious events such as Fuji Rock in Japan and Germany's infamous Fusion Festival to rapturous reception, they know how to work an audience of any size.

With new singles released in 2018 surmised by the single 'Surgery,' the new style is delightfully quirky and catchy, which thrilled fans at festivals around the UK. Watch out for 2019 when they will return will even more of this effervescent new sound.

‘These bohemians play surf like Dick Dale founded The Meteors, but this time they’re fronted by The Slits’ Ari Up’.

By Simon Tucker [Louder Than War]

‘This is the music Wednesday Addams would have made if she grew up and started a band, full of threat, charm, malevolence and the kind of swagger most pop stars can only dream of. There’s a hand-clap breakdown and the kind of bass line that Johnny Cash would have killed a man for, all-in-all it’s a whole heap of fun’.

TAXI JOE TAXI JOE are a British rock band, founded by lead singer Joe Acres and drummer Louis Morgan. The band were joined by Italian bassist Devid Dell’Aiera after a fateful jamming session in South London. Their sound draws from a range of influences including the likes of Oasis, the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin with audiences likening their music to the Arctic Monkeys, the Strokes and T-Rex. The band are constantly writing new material and self-producing their own music and videos. This has led to global coverage on independent radio stations, blogs and landed them a place on TIDAL’s most listened playlist in Spain. Their latest single, ‘Pain’, attracted the attention of IMAX to be featured on a behind-the-scenes exclusive for the new JJ Abrams movie, ‘Overlord’. Their energetic on-stage chemistry has led them to perform in New York, Italy and all over the UK, most notably supporting the legendary Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac on tour. Remarked as having a ferocious attitude, Taxi Joe dare to challenge the current indie market with their aggressive lyrics and catchy riffs. https://www.taxijoe.co.uk/
